This true fig plant, which is a relative of the edible fig, is a vigorous grower. Once established, it will grow quickly. Its dense branches and attractive foliage cling to almost any surface. Give it something to climb, such as a fence, pillar, arbor, or wall. Ficus pumilia is considered one of the best self-clinging vines. On the ground, it will spread indefinitely as a short, trailing ground cover. As a ground cover, it does especially well when planted under palms or clump-forming tropicals. It can also cascade over the edge of an elevated planter. Given the chance, this plant will climb objects 20' or more by aerial rootlets. The leaves begin as small, leathery, and dark green, but they will mature to be 2-4" long.

  • FICUS PUMILA CREEPING FIG: A live fig plant, ready for the terrarium, for under a cloche or dome, or for the fairy garden
  • FICUS PUMILA QUERCIFOLIA PLANT: Shows tiny and attractively shaped foliage; you'll love it for its nice texture in dark and healthy green tones
  • U.S.-Grown: Grown in and on U.S. soil, this clinging plant is also known as Ficus Pumila Minima, which indicates its compact size
  • EASY TO CARE FOR: Your plant will love warmth and humidity; you will find it needs little care beyond well-draining soil and some good indirect light
  • TERRARIUM PLANT: There are few plants that do so well under glass, in a closed terrarium set-up; your Creeping Fig will flourish in these unusual conditions
